Fourteen Blocks Done!

I got 2 more blocks done! I'm finally making my way to finishing up 20 blocks. I have developed a bit of a system but the blocks still take me awhile. Between cutting up the pieces to actually sewing, these blocks are taking me forever! However, the end is in sight and I'm so glad I stuck with it!

I think the blocks look great without sashing but I will be sewing sashing and corner 9-patch blocks between each block. My stash is being used up but not that much! I thought I'd make a pretty good dent into my stash but no such luck.

I'm off to get the next 2 blocks ready. Time to get that rotary cutter out!

  1. I didn't realize that there were corner 9-patch blocks too. Bet you are already thinking of how you are going to quilt it.

    1. I am trying to decide how to quilt it! You know me well. I'm also cutting out pieces for the 9-patch blocks. I think I have to make 30. Sounds awful!

  3. Your blocks are looking great! I have that same problem - my stash busting projects don't seem to use much stash!

    1. Thanks so much! I did buy a few fat quarters even though I had plenty in my stash! I think I need lots of stash busting projects to get rid of mine!

  5. this is going to be one pretty quilt. love it! I know isnt it funny how it is hard to use up the stash? I am gong to look for some patterns with large pieces like ten inch squares.
