Ready to Quilt!

This is Arcadia Avenue that I finished last year. It's finally all ready to machine quilt. It measures 72" X 90". It was very evident that this is a large quilt. It took about 3 hours to pin baste. I could have used basting spray but I feel I get better results with pins.

Here's a close up. I actually ran out of safety pins so I used my large hat pins. I tried to bury the point in the quilt so I wouldn't keep stabbing myself! I only used the hat pins along the short edge at the very end of the quilt. Not too bad!!

Have you been to Target lately? They have night gowns made just for us!

Look at all the sewing machines! So cute! Maybe I'll machine quilt in my new nightie!!
