Block #2 Arcadia Avenue

I'm almost done quilting the second block of Arcadia Avenue. I'm doing lots of stitching in the ditch which you can't see! However, I did do a little free motion quilting as well.

I made these swirls in the center.  I also outlined  inside the solid shapes next to the center.

I made these loops in the black/white areas. This was not my first choice. I tried a few other shapes but nothing seemed to work. Out of desperation, I tried this design and decided to keep it!

I  have the outer triangles left and this block will be complete! I still have to decide what to do! Starting to look through my books for designs.

  2. I love how you put the swirls in the center. It takes courage to quilt with light thread on solid black, my friend, and you have the skills to do it beautifully!
