I also am trying to improve my FMQ skills on my domestic machine and some things are much harder than others. For hard things that I want to look good, I do make some marking guides or even stitch over tissue paper. I can do them if I do loopy circles and put space between them--but I'm no good at nesting them next to each other. <br />For me, one of the fun things about quilting is that after doing it for decades I can still learn new things on almost every quilt.
