Scrappy Quilt Top Finished!

Image may contain: indoor

My Scrappy Quilt top is all done! The border tripped me up for a little while. I just wasn't sure what to do. I had originally planned to put a black strip around the whole quilt and then some striped fabric for a wider border. I just didn't like that idea once I had the quilt top done.

I didn't use black in the border at all. As you can see in this close up, I used a dark grey. I kept this one strip on for about a week. I just wasn't sure where I wanted to go with this.

I felt the dark color was too dull of an ending for this quilt. That's what made me decide to add the pink. I thought a thin strip would add some color and really frame this quilt very nicely. I'm glad I took my time with this border. It looks so much better with that shot of color in the border.

    1. Thank you, Dawnieq! I'm glad I took my time with that border. Did you get snow today? I had to work at 7 and the roads were awful.

  3. Yes, love it! Just black might have been too black. The pink strip gives a nice accent.

  5. I think the dark border is just right, and love the way you've set those blocks diagonally across the quilt.
