I had to have my machine serviced last week but I'm finally back to quilting Farmgirl Vintage.
I stitched in the ditch in the Apron Strings Block. I also made a few little channels that I pebbled in.
I outlined the Summer Star Block. I quilted swirls in the middle area and repeated this design in the green squares.
I outlined the pinwheel and stippled around it. I quilted 3 little loops in each corner triangle.
That's it, so far, I'm hoping to get more done since I'm off the next few days. I'm already trying to figure out how to quilt the next block. That's the part that takes the longest!
Nothing like a good service to keep our machines purring! Great quilting, how far do you think you are through it now?
ReplyDeleteI feel I've been so slow quilting this one. When I had to bring my machine in for repair, I think I lost my momentum. I'm proud to say I quilted 3 more blocks today and am 1/3 done with the blocks. Of course, I still have sashing, borders, etc. Best not to think of that!! I'll get there eventually!
DeleteNice...yep, my machine has to go back in...I mangled the Needle threader and now that I don't have it, I realise how much I need it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Karin. My needle got loose, broke and got stuck in the bobbin which threw off the timing. What a pain! I'm glad it's back and hope to make more progress! Hate it when our machines break!!
Deletelove it. looking great
ReplyDeleteThank you! I feel quite slow with this one but I'm trying to catch up! Hope you're making good progress with your reunion quilt!
DeleteYou and your machine make a great team! Glad you are reunited.
ReplyDeleteSo mad when it broke but happy to have it back! I just have to keep reminding myself that I can quilt again!
DeleteThis is coming along so well; love it...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThank you, Julierose! Slow and steady but getting there!
