Hand Applique

No automatic alt text available.

I've been working on my borders for Green Tea and Sweet Beans. I added berries to the top border. I think they're so cute! The add a cute little detail to the quilt.

The side borders have all their flowers and vines complete. Leaves are next!  I will have to add more flowers and vines when the borders are all sewn onto the main quilt. I'll have to connect the vines so it will look like one big vine surrounding the quilt. I really love the way it's coming out.

Don't let these borders fool you! They take forever! I'm trying to split my time between these borders as well as sewing down the binding On Ringo Lake. Too bad I only have one pair of hands!!

  2. So the berries are not part of the original pattern? They're really cute. Love to see the progress.

    1. Thank you, Em! The directions regarding the borders are very vague. I found the berries in a picture and decided I liked them!
