It's time for Thursday Likes! Please visit LeeAnna over at Not Afraid of Color to link up to more blogs posting fun content. I've forgotten to post a picture of Audi! He's my son and daughter-in-law's new cat! Isn't he just so cute?? He's already a year old and weighs close to 15 lb. He's a big boy! They adopted him through a Vermont shelter. They drove 2 hours to pick him up. He really loves my son! He follows him around their house and sleeps with him. So adorable!!
I've made more progress on my Facets quilt. I need a total of 12 orange blocks for round 2. I'm getting there slowly but surely! I've also been trying to wash windows and curtains so it's not going too fast. Slow but steady!
My cross stitch pillow is almost done! I have really enjoyed working on this project. There are lots of thread changes but I just love the effect. The cat looks so real! I'll be making this into a pillow. I hope I don't sit on him!
I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! Have a great weekend!
Audi is quite dapper in his tuxedo. What a sweet looking fellow. Your facets blocks look great, Rosemary. So does the cat cross-stitch. So many stitches in this one but you are making nice progress.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! I feel I'm cross stitching a little faster as I finish the cat.
DeleteI hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
ReplyDeleteI did and hope you did too!
DeleteAudi is cute. The cross stitch is stunning. Facets is an interesting block. Look forward to how that comes along.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sally! I'm enjoying my projects!
DeleteAudi could be the twin of our tuxie - Leila - she was a rescue kitty nine years ago and is an absolute character and a much loved one. Favet blocks are so colourful and coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wonder if Audi and Leila would be friends if they lived closer! I'm enjoying using my scraps to make the Facet blocks.
DeleteCute Audi! It looks like he's up to something! lol Your Facet blocks are looking great, Rosemary, love the scrappy look. Pretty stitchery too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Astrid!
DeleteBeautiful cat! Lovely quilt and pillow! Warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Linda! Thanks for visiting my blog!
DeleteWhat a great job you have done with those thread changes in your beautiful cat, Rosemary. Just so lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jocelyn! The magazine estimated it would take 40 hours to complete. I've been working on it since February and I'm still not finished! I guess I'm a slow stitcher!!
Deletenice to see a formal cat LOL ( tuxedo ) and your X stitch orange cat is gorgeous. What a momento to have a pic of your mom and her dad.... I have a mental pic of her. Little, holding on Dad leaning forward, her hair blowing behind her, cobblestones, olive trees.
ReplyDeleteLove, LeeAnna
Thanks so much, LeeAnna! I love your mental picture of my mom and her dad. Beautiful!!
