This is a picture from the website. The colors are a little different but you can see how colorful it is! I'm hoping to finish it myself. I've made pillows before so I should be okay. I've heard having needlepoint projects finished for you is very expensive. These kits are expensive too! Check out Elizabeth Bradley which is another needlepoint retailer. The kits are gorgeous but so expensive. I'm looking out for a sale for that website! I think it's the only way I can afford one of their kits.
I'm finally retired and feel I can do what I love. I'm so happy to be out of the rat race! I try to quilt, read and knit as much as possible. I love to get comments and will respond to each and every one! I hope you enjoy my little blog as much as I do! Thank you for visiting me!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThat is a beautiful needle point! I once saw a peacock baby in a park here, it was the cutest! I did needle point years ago, I used to get some of them framed too. They were very popular in the 70's, I think it was.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Astrid! I think I'm doing okay with it. I'm more accustomed to cross stitching but they're very similar.
DeleteBeautiful post

ReplyDeleteThat is going to be a beautiful pillow, Rosemary. You the project is serious when it on scroll rods LOL.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! I kept scrunching up the sides of the canvas so I thought I should get some sort of frame for it. This is just a cheapo from Michael's! It seems to be working.
DeleteOh my this brings back memories. Needlepoint was all I did for a couple of decades when younger...I found it easier with less doodads to handle when a working mom. I had kits from both those places you mentioned...so many beautiful designs like your peacock in those gorgeous colours.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jocelyn. It's fun to work on and as you mentioned, easy to just pick up. I'm seeing more and more ads for needlepoint so maybe it's making a comeback?? I'm not sure. I wanted a new pillow for my new couches.
DeleteI haven't done needlepoint in ages. This will look great when it's done.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sally! I think I did some needlepoint in college but I'm not sure! It's not too bad, very similar to cross stitch.
