I Like Thursday #281

It's time, once again, for Thursday likes! It's been a quiet but hot and humid week. I've been sewing and pretty much staying indoors as much as I can. I've been working on my Facets quilt and am making progress on the 4th round which is red with light pink accents. I have to make a total of 28 blocks for this round. Each block measures 6.5".

The cats have been comfortable indoors with the air conditioning on. I thought it was funny to see Lily sleeping right next to her favorite toys! Ahh, the life of a cat!!!

We don't see too many pigeons around our house but this one seemed to love my husband's car! He sat on it for awhile, would walk around and then go back to sitting at that same spot. So funny!!

This one is a bit hard to see but a doe was in my yard with her 2 babies! They were so cute to see. I was a little nervous seeing them cross the street but all three of them made it safely across.

  1. Facets is just incredible, Rosemary. Your cat is so cosy. I've never seen a pigeon here, let alone one enjoying a car bonnet. How neat to see those fawns, and yes, there is nervousness about their well being, isn't there.

    1. Thank you, Jocelyn! I love working on scrap quilts since it uses up some of my stash. Not enough, however, since I still have so much more to use up!

  2. Your coming along nicely on Facets. I'm still amazed at how many pieces are in those 6 1/2" blocks. Lily is spoiled with all those toys. I hope the pigeon didn't leave any "surprises" on your hubby's car. Exciting to see deer so close.

    1. Thanks, Jeanna! I think paper piecing makes this block so much easier for me. I don't think the pigeon left anything behind but it just loved sitting on the car! The baby deer were so cute!

Facets Round 4

The heat is back again and I seem to be moving much slower! My house is cool but if I have to go out to do anything, I get pretty hot. I did...
