I'm working on a few other things other than Facets. I made these sweet little baby booties for my friend who's expecting his first baby. Aren't they so sweet?? They're a pattern I found online that works the booties without a seam. Once you're done knitting, there's nothing to sew. If you're interested, the pattern is here. They're so quick and easy to make!
I'm finally retired and feel I can do what I love. I'm so happy to be out of the rat race! I try to quilt, read and knit as much as possible. I love to get comments and will respond to each and every one! I hope you enjoy my little blog as much as I do! Thank you for visiting me!

Other Projects
This is how far I've got on my cross stitch kitty. It's coming slowly but looking good. I'm more than halfway done. I try to work on it everyday but sometimes I get busy with other projects. There are so many thread changes that you can only do so much at a time.
I have one teal row sewn onto Facets and another one in the process of being sewn on. There are so many seams to match that it takes awhile. Oh well, I should enjoy the process, right?? At least, that's what I keep telling myself!!

Those little booties are just so cute!! Your kitty stitchery is really coming along well, too. I have JRJ together but have to find a backing; I don't have any large pieces of yardage so i will have to sew maybe 3 fat quarter strips together. Just cannot get myself going on it though. I love the actual sewing, but the putting together not so much . Maybe it should be a donation quilt...we shall see...

Thanks, Julierose! They were fun to knit. There are definitely certain parts of the quilting process that are more fun to do. I'm sure it will come out great no matter what!
DeleteThose baby booties are just the sweetest, Rosemary. I wish I had someone to knit a pair for. You are moving along on the cross stitch kitty. That is a full coverage project and it is looking so good. Facets is going to be stunning. Have you decided on a quilting design yet? Can't wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! I think I'm getting quicker cross stitching. The first kitty took me a lot longer. I'm still thinking about the quilting design. I'll figure it out eventually!!
