Next Project

Even though I just finished the Twister quilt, I have to keep moving onto the next project! I pin basted the Puzzle Box quilt I made awhile ago. I really love how this top turned out. It's probably the most modern quilt I've ever made. I haven't chosen any sort of quilt pattern yet. I'm looking through books and looking at quilts on line. Something is sure to pop out at me. I have a few ideas but nothing for sure yet. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas.

Here's the backing. I'm not sure how well the picture came out. It's black with multi-colored dots. It's actually from a Peanuts fabric line. I thought it would be neat to have straight lines on the front of the quilt while there were circles on the back.

I'm working the next two days and then we're scheduled to have another snow storm! Third weekend in a row! It should be over by Sunday evening. I'm getting really tired of all these storms. It's getting old real fast!

Enjoy your weekend!!

  4. This quilt is such a change--love it. I have some modern fabrics, but cannot quite figure out how to use them--everything is either a big widespread design or very full of white....speaking of white stuff--oh, no! not aNOTHER storm--hopefully it'll be rain here on our coast...stay warm..love your quilt Julierose

    1. Heard it might not be as bad as first thought. Will have to wait and see. I like some of the modern quilts but I really liked this pattern. Easy to follow!

  5. From FNSI. Love your puzzle block quilt, such a joyful selection of colours, simple yet whimsical, I'd love to see curvy on it. Hope the storm wasn't too bad, we're suffering through heat and humidity a lot the last few weeks with way too many days in the mid to high 30's (that's close to the 100 in the old language) here in South Australia.

    1. Our storm was much more tame than predicted so it wasn't too bad. I think I will do something curvy on my puzzle block. I'm practicing a few things! Your temperature sounds lovely to me! Enjoy Australia! So nice to hear from you!!
