I'm finally retired and feel I can do what I love. I'm so happy to be out of the rat race! I try to quilt, read and knit as much as possible. I love to get comments and will respond to each and every one! I hope you enjoy my little blog as much as I do! Thank you for visiting me!

Latest Projects
Since I finished the Puzzle Box Quilt, I've been working on little projects. I made this cute little Christmas wall hanging. This was such fun to make. It measures 12" by 14". You basically fold and iron 2 1/2" strips to form the Christmas tree. I plan on buying some Christmas ornament buttons to decorate it. I'd love to put a star on the top of the tree!
The Blogger's BOM is all set to be machine quilted. I pinned the layers together this morning. My cat, Lily, thought it was an invitation to play. I taped down the backing and she tried to pull the tape off the floor. It was a constant battle to leave my fabric alone! She thought it was great fun. I was glad to see her go take a nap!
I have two other projects to show but they're not ready yet! My EQ7 Summer Series block needs a good ironing and then I will share!
Hope you all have a great weekend. I have some fun plans for tomorrow morning. I'm so happy to not be working! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanks so much! Have a great weekend too!
DeleteIt's your Christmas Tree that brought me here. Nice to have a small project. Christmas buttons will take your lovely tree to the top. I love your Blogger's BOM. The fabric in the sashing just adds so much to your blocks and then topped off with the piano border picking up the colors! Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Joanie! I'm still trying to figure out just how to quilt it! I'll come up with something eventually! It's always a bit of a challenge when all the blocks are different. I'm looking at books and websites trying to get ideas.
DeleteI love the Christmas tree! Yes a star at the top will be lovely. And Lily is so funny with the tape, it seems our MaoMao can hear me pull out my measuring tape from downstairs. He comes running to attack. He got into the scotch tape once, but he doesn't want anything to do with that sticky stuff. hahaha Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, April! Cats are so funny! They definitely add a lot of fun to our projects! Enjoy the weekend!
DeleteChristmas projects already!!! Great piece though and I can just imagine Lily 'helping' you :)
ReplyDeleteI bought that pattern at Christmastime and never got the chance to work on it! It was a fun pattern. Lily thinks she did a great job helping! She's great company but not a very good quilter!
