I'm finally retired and feel I can do what I love. I'm so happy to be out of the rat race! I try to quilt, read and knit as much as possible. I love to get comments and will respond to each and every one! I hope you enjoy my little blog as much as I do! Thank you for visiting me!

Applique Kitty!
My applique wall hanging is almost done! I still have to add a few embellishments. I have to make whiskers on the cat. I also have to embroider a needle on the sewing machine. Once the embroidering is complete, it will be all set to machine quilt.
This is the picture on the pattern. My fabrics are a little different as well as the placement of some of the items. However, it's very similar over all. I think this will make a nice little addition to my sewing room. Hope my two cats like it too!

ReplyDeleteVery true, Diane! Just hope my changes made it look better and not worse!!
DeleteLove it!! I could do with this pattern!! Is it a Laundry Basket one?
ReplyDeleteYes, I think Edyta Sitar is the designer. I loved her directions. Hope you make one too!
DeleteLove it. I'm saving a space on my sewing room wall for it. :-)
ReplyDeleteI think Toby will be mad if he sees this in your sewing room! You need a doggie sitting near a sewing machine!!
DeleteYou are very right! Hadn't thought of that!
DeleteI love your applique wall hanging! Love the design on the sewing machine making it appear like an antique. Of course the kitty is so delightful and is so representative of many quilters like you who love their cats. Cats like my dog love quilts. They are soooo smart. My dog is sitting next to my desk chair. I am so afraid I am going to step on her or roll my chair into her. She wants to be so close to me. I am sure this will brighten up your sewing room.
