Fun Quilty Friday

Isn't this the neatest cake!?? Bits N Pieces, my local quilt shop, is having a 15th Anniversary weekend. They're having the best sales! They're also supplying cake and chocolates! If interested, the shop is located in Pelham, NH. It's worth the trip! The sale ends on Sunday.

I bought these quilt clamps. They come in handy of you want to test your tension while working on a quilt. You can secure a practice piece to the frame and check your quilt stitch. I've had my eye on them for awhile!

I've been quilting my fabric to make a dust cover for my longarm. It's coming along very nicely! It's so fast. I'm almost done.

Here's a closeup of the quilt sandwich. I'm just doodling away! I'm stippling, feathering, and clam shelling! It's just a fun way to practice and make something at the same time.

Have a nice weekend!!

  2. Adorable cake--and I really like that sewing fabric you are quilting...enjoy your stippling...I am doing wave-y line quilting with my walking foot on the girls' two "I Spy" quilts for their Christmas presents...keeping me busy...hugs, Julierose (P.S. oh, and I have 24 rows done on my "HAPpy" shawl yay)

    1. I like wavy lines for quilting. They add a nice finishing touch. You're doing great with your shawl! Hope you show us a peek one of these days!

Your longarm cover is looking great with the quilting on it.
