On Ringo Lake - Parts 6, 7 and part of 8!

Here is my first block for On Ringo Lake. The directions for making the block are found in Part 8. But I'm getting ahead of myself!  We've been receiving directions weekly on Friday since the day after Thanksgiving. This past Friday, Part 6, instructed us to add a pink triangle to the pieced triangle units.

I took one picture that included all the parts needed to make the block. You can see the triangle units/pink triangle on the right. I started cutting them on Friday but I was not even close to being done. While at work Saturday morning, Bonnie released another clue! That was Part 7. Part 7 instructed us to sew 2 flying geese together, pink on top, black on the bottom.

Part 8 was released on Sunday! What!!!?!! Part 8 gave us instructions on making the block. I had enough pieces to put one together without sewing. Part 9 was released on Monday along with the quilt reveal. Part 9 is putting the whole quilt together. Who knows when I'll get to that one!!

I ended up making 5 blocks today. I still have a bunch to go but it looks like everything fits together nicely. There are no more clues left, just have to sew all my smaller pieces. I think I'll do a few at a time. Someone made all their blocks in one day! That will never be me!!
