It's once again time for Thursday Likes!! Please visit LeeAnna over at Not Afraid of Color to link up with more participating blogs. I finished my Scaredy Cat for the Frightful Fun Block of the Month. This cat was fun to make but there were lots of points that had to meet so it was slow sewing once each section was completed. This block is 18.5" square.
This picture just gives you and idea of how the sections were made and sewn together.
I received a gift subscription to Just Cross Stitch so I got the Halloween edition early! There are so many fun patterns in this issue. It's going to be difficult to pick which I should make first!
I bought this pattern last week. It does remind me that we're halfway to Christmas but I also thought I could make these wreaths for different seasons. I would love to make a topper for Fall but I have a lot going on right now so we'll see!!
The prompt this week asks us if we prefer a hammock or digging in the garden. I would say I think I'd like the hammock! It looks comfy and perfect for those hazy and humid days of summer. My husband loves doing all sorts of stuff to the lawn and plants. I'll leave him to do the digging!
Have a wonderful weekend! It's cool and rainy today but still humid. I'm hoping for better weather for the weekend!
Oh my, that cat has a lot of sections to piece. It's back!! You did a great job, Rosemary. After that, the Festive Wreaths will be a walk in the park. I'd like to make those placemats and the longer runner. Having a set for each season would be nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! I hope I can get a few table toppers done before the holidays.
DeleteThat cat looks great! That wreath pattern looks pretty. I'll enjoy seeing what you make next.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sally! I'm looking into that wreath pattern and changing it up a little.
DeleteLove your hydrangea photo! That cat is so cute! I like that wreath pattern and think your idea is clever!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Michele! I have quite a few projects going on but I would love to make one of those wreath table toppers.
DeleteYour Scaredy Cat looks great but yowsa! It does look pretty intense. Your new pattern looks like a winner. I like all the options it gives. You should be able to come up with something pretty, no matter the season!
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a nice comment, Susie!
DeleteOh my your cat is so intricate looking, Rosemary and how neat it turned out. Again, thrilled to have such a talented stitcher as a blogging pal!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Jocelyn! You give me too much credit for my quilting skills but I appreciate it!
DeleteThat is a very cool cat. I made a cat patchwork once from a pattern by Buggy Barn but they are out of business now and your design is way cooler. I love it (and what a colour)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's all paper pieced and part of the Frightful Fun Block of the Month. It's been a really fun project.
