Frightful Fun BOM is Done!!!!

I did it! My Frightful Fun Block of the Month is all quilted! It took me about 10 days to quilt it. I did no other sewing at all. If I quilt too long on the longarm, I tend to get sloppy so I tried to break up my quilting into 2 sessions per day. The quilt was finished with a combination of free motion quilting as well as ruler work. I'd like to thank Leila Gardunia, Hunter's Design Studio and Quiet Play for the gorgeous paper pieced block patterns. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I really enjoyed working on this quilt. It measures about 58" X 76".

This is a little closeup photo of the quilting. So fun!

Here's the backing. It's nice and flat. You can see the quilting. I just love the crows! My binding is done and ready to be sewn on! I even made a block for my scrap quilt that took a backseat these past couple of weeks. It's always a great feeling to finish a project especially when they take less time than expected!!

  1. What a lovely finish, Rosemary--a cute and spooky one:)) Nice job on all that fancy paper piecing...Another lovely morning here--I hope to sit out and hand quilt a bit...before I tackle some UFO's that need borders...

  2. Beautiful quilt, Rosemary. Congratulations on getting it finished so quickly. The crow backing fabric is perfect for it and your quilting is stunning...as usual.
