Corsage for Arcadia Avenue

As I'm finishing up sewing the binding on Farmgirl Vintage, I'm starting to think of what's next. I bought this gorgeous Kaffe Fassett fabric to be the backing for Arcadia Avenue. It's called Corsage. It's so pretty.

This is the best I could do with piecing it. The corsages are about 5 inches wide. The edge you can't see is made up of half corsages. I tried to match them up but the corsages are not the same. After moving the fabric around about a million times, I thought this set up would work out the best. I just tried to match the flowers up as best as I could. I think it's fine. I still have to wash and iron it.

For those of you who don't remember, this is Arcadia Avenue. I'm a little afraid to start quilting it. I don't want to mess it up! I think I'm going to stitch in the ditch a lot. I don't think this one needs too much loopy quilting. It looks good as it is. I plan on doing some free motion quilting in the connecting triangles between the blocks. I'm still working on my plan!
