I Like Thursday #262

It's time for Thursday likes! Please visit LeeAnna at Not Afraid of Color to link up to more blogs. We had quite the snowstorm Sunday evening. We were supposed to get 4-8" and ended up with a little over 5". It hasn't melted at all. It's been too cold! I guess it will warm up but very slowly. Oh, well, it is January.

I finished my Spring cross stitch. Isn't it adorable?! I love the bees and butterflies. It made me feel better to work on something to remind me that Winter won't last forever! I still have to finish it. I'll probable make a little wall hanging out of it.

Here's my latest paper pieced mini block. It needs a good ironing but other than that, it's done! I have 3 more blocks to make to finish up the mini quilt.

I picked this up from my local quilt shop. They're sponsoring a quilt show in April. I think it's the only one in my area other than quilt guild shows. I'm hoping to go. It's so fun to see quilts and shop! I miss the bigger quilt shows we used to have.

That's it for me this week. Have a great weekend!!

  1. The snow is so pretty to look at. We only have a few patches remaining here and there. Your spring cross stitch is adorable. The bees and butterflies are tiny. Great job on the Halloween block, too. I've been to a couple of quilt shows since moving to NC but they are much smaller than the ones I went to in Florida. I haven't heard of any yet this year.

  2. Thanks, Jeanna! I really miss the big quilt shows. I took quite a few classes at MQX which really helped me learn how to use my longarm. I was hoping they would make a comeback but nothing so far.

    1. Thanks, Sally! It's been way too cold! That gravestone block took me forever! It was hard to remember which fabric to use for those little pieces. I marked them but it was still hard to keep straight!!

  6. I hope you're able to make it to the quilt show. They are so inspirational. I'm spoiled since I'm only a couple hours from Paducah KY where there's a big quilt show annually. Your cross stitch turned out great and is definitely a picker-upper with the snow on your ground outside. Stay warm!

  7. Your Alaska quilt took my breath away! It’s lovely! (saw it on your new post). Yes! Your Spring cross stitch is so pretty! I also like to work on spring-colored projects during winter! Your paper pieced mini block is cute! Yes, I miss the larger quilt shows as well. Sigh…
