These are the views from my windows today. The picture on the left is my deck. I can't open the door due to the snow. I think we've received about 9 inches so far. The picture on the right is from my front door. The snow piles are getting higher again. It was finally starting to melt. Oh well. All I can say is that I'm looking forward to Spring!
I've been working on my teal row for the Facets quilt. I finished these very quickly hoping my power wouldn't go out. I have 18 blocks left to make for this round.
I also made another block for the baby quilt. I have 5 blocks left to make for the baby quilt. I'm so glad the power lasted while I was sewing. I did hear some people lost power just a few miles from my house. They called the electric company who told them to expect power back in about 48 hours. That is not good news! I'm hoping my power lasts!
I'll be home all day waiting for the storm to finally stop!!

ReplyDeleteI spent the afternoon catching up on last night's lost sleep...the sound of the howling winds kept me awake and anxious--we are surrounded by hugs, old trees here--so far none have come down...

Our power has been fine so far too. I hope it stays that way for both of us! I slept okay but I did wake up a few times just to see if the power was still on. I could here those winds too! Things seem to have calmed down. I'm so sick of this snow. I'm so ready for Spring!
DeleteThis has been one heck of a winter for the northeast. I sure hope spring comes soon. I love the teal in the newest Facets blocks. And the baby quilt is going to be adorable in those animal prints.
