We're expecting more snow this afternoon. Just what we need!!! Anyways, I've been diligently working on my teal round of the Facets quilt. As you can see, I have 18 made but have 34 left to make. I can make them pretty quickly now but I usually only make 1 or 2 at a time. They measure 6.5" square.
I bought a new shelf with cubbies to hold all my fabric. It took a few days to get all my fabric in the baskets and on the shelf. I had so much fabric that I didn't even remember buying! I still plan on going through each basket and organizing better. I mainly organize by color but I also have lots of fat quarters that have their own area. Ugh! It's not easy to get everything in it's proper place. I'll get there eventually!

The facets blocks look great, Rosemary. There are so many pieces in those small blocks. You are doing well with your organizing. I can't say the same :(
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! I moved quickly with putting my fabric in that shelf because trash pickup was the next day. I still have lots to do! It looks okay but don't look too closely!!
DeleteLovely facets blocks, Rosemary--good progress on making them..
ReplyDeleteI have stacks of fabrics by color -- BUT--also lots of bins of fabric to sort through--esp'ly those multi color ones--I never know where to put them!! Nice cubbies shelf storage you purchased..should help with the organization...;)))
Hugs, Julierose
Thanks, Julierose! I also have problems deciding where to put certain fabrics. I try to sort by color but it doesn't always work!!
DeleteYour facets blocks are beautiful. Love your new shelf with cubbies. I have most of my fabrics sorted on colors, but there are always those multi-color ones that doesn't fit anywhere so I keep those together.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Astrid! I also have the same problem. I've found some multi colored fabrics mixed in with certain colors. I guess it made sense to me at some point!
