The temperatures have gone up this week but I went to the library yesterday and took this picture. There are still so many areas of ice that look they're here to stay awhile! This picture was taken in front of a gate with a plant in front of it. It made me cold just to look at it.

Does anyone else use Duolingo? I finished the Italian course. Italian was my first language however, the Italian I spoke was a dialect. This course teaches the proper Italian. I've asked my mother about some of the words and she hasn't even heard of them! Italian only has 60 levels on this app so it didn't take too long to finish up. I also started to learn chess. I'm terrible at it but it's fun to learn. If you're on Duolingo, let me know so we can follow each other.

Our conversation starter this week asks us if we exchanged Valentine's Day cards in grammar school. I remember decorating a shoe box to place the cards in. I remember buying a box of cards and signing and sending one to each of my classmates. We always had a party with cookies and juice! So fun!!

I do not do DuoLingo but I do subscribe to Primrose Cottage. I thought that was a cute Lucky pillow too! We're hoping to defrost around here too this upcoming week. I'm not going to be ready for all the mud that will follow. Lol! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteWe're expecting more snow this weekend. I wish ours would melt away but I did hear our temperatures are supposed to rise next week. I can't wait!
DeleteWe have patches of snow and ice still lingering here as well. Hubby and I used Duolingo to learn Italian before our trip last September. I've since deleted the app though. Primrose has the cutest cross stitch patterns. I saved Lucky but I do not plan to stitch it this year.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how long that ice lingers. We're expecting more snow this weekend. I'm not looking forward to that! I enjoy Duolingo and feel it does a great job teaching. I'm not sure I'll be doing Lucky either. It depends if I can find the time.
DeleteI've heard about Duolingo, but never used it. Italian is such a beautiful language. Cute Primrose stitchery. No snow or ice here, we are almost melting in 89.6F, with high humidity.
