Lucky for St. Patrick's Day

I just finished this month's free cross stitch pattern from Primrose Cottage. I started stitching it when I got tired of cross stitching the cat I'm working on. There are so many thread changes on that cat that I have to stop after a while. So, I worked on this project instead. I got it ready in time for St. Patrick's Day with plenty of time to spare!

I used 16ct aida in off white. I just used what I had at home. It measures approximately 5" X 5.5".  I thought the small pom pom trim would be a cute touch. Well, it looks nice but it was tough for me to sew on. It's very narrow and I kept sewing off the fabric. This is the second piece of fabric I sewed onto the cross stitch piece. The original fabric kept I chose kept shredding. I'm not sure if I like the twine, still deciding! Anyways, it's a cute new addition to use to decorate my house.

  1. What a lovely St. Pat's Day pillow--nice work, Rosemary. That is the one holiday I have no quilts for--I should make a "Wearin' O' the Green" one this year...[I notice you have some what I think are spam comments here??]

    1. Thanks, Julierose! I don't have much for St. Patrick's Day either. I think this pillow makes 2 things I can display. I can't believe spam is all over blogger too now! Ugh!!

  2. Those spammers are annoying, arent' they?!? You have an adorable finish, Rosemary. You were quick on this one. I always save the free stitch Fridays (both quilts and cross stitch) when Primrose releases them. I don't always stitch them but it is good to have choices :)

    1. Thanks, Jeanna! This month's free cross stitch was on the small side so it didn't take me too long. I don't have much for St. Patrick's Day so I thought this would be a good thing to make. Spam is so annoying! I can't believe they're on our blogs too now!
