We're expecting a long duration nor'easter up here in New England so I though I'd get a post in while I still have power. I sewed the borders onto the these two small quilts. They measure about 30" X 16". I'll be keeping one but will be gifting one to my son and his wife.
I already started quilting one of them. If you enlarge the picture, you can see I quilted swirls in the black area surrounding the ghosts. I quilted straight lines in the borders. Unfortunately, with these high wind warnings and potential loss of power, I won't be able to quilt all weekend. I would hate to have the longarm on and have the power go out. I'll get back to it next week.
My Hello Autumn pillow is all done and on display in my family room! Just in time! I'm so glad I could use that pine cone fabric. I've had it forever!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and has better weather than me!

Such cute little finishes, Rosemary--we are getting all prepared for the storm...being on the CT SE coast we are due for pretty high winds...
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay safe...hugs, Julierose
Thank you! I did a little quilting on the longarm this morning but it's unplugged until this storm is over. We've removed some items from the deck but hope it's not as bad as they're predicting. I hope it's not too awful for you. Stay safe!
DeleteYour ghost girls turned out so cute, Rosemary! Pretty quilting. Love your fall stitchery, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Astrid! These are fun to work on!
DeleteI love these. Cute ghost girls and your quilting is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda! These projects are so very enjoyable!
DeleteI hope your weather wasn't too bad Rosemary. That storm looked horrible on the news. Love those little ghost quilts. Your Hello Autumn finish turned out great, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jeanna! The storm wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but it is still raining! I'm glad we didn't lose power. The wind was pretty bad at times.
